Charred Pineapple Old Fashioned

Smooth bourbon melds with pineapple syrup and aromatic bitters for a tropical twist on a classic. The cinnamon-sugar rim adds warmth, while charred pineapple and a cinnamon stick garnish provide depth and spice.

  • Glassware: Lowball
    • Smokey Cinnamon Sugar (see Notes)
    • Add Ice Ball or Cube

      Regular ice can be used if an ice ball or cube isn't available.

  • Stir with Ice:
    • 2 oz Bourbon
    • 1/2 oz Pineapple Simple Syrup (see Notes)
    • 2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
  • Strain Into Glass
  • Garnish:
    • Cinnamon Stick
    • Charred Pineapple Cubes
  • Notes:
    • Smokey Cinnamon Sugar:
      Mix sugar, ground cinnamon and a pinch of smoked salt.

      Pineapple Simple Syrup:
      Simple syrup muddled with pineapple and strained.
